We are holding a Gift Day in response to the news that our financial position really is so much better than we thought possible at the start of 2012. We have seen a £28K budget deficit disappear in front of our very eyes as God has lavished His grace upon us. Yes – We really do have a Big God who has given us a Big Vision and answered some Big Prayers.
Our Gift Day is to celebrate God’s exuberant grace. We want to worship him and thank Him for all he is doing in our church and in our community. Our God is truly an awesome God!
Our Gift Day is to remind us of our vision and God’s plans for us. It is an opportunity to pledge our on-going support for His plans and to get right behind what our God is doing through the Barn.
God has big plans for us in 2013! We are going to see further growth in all sorts of ways. It will be a year that as a church we grow stronger and a year that we start to reach our community. 2013 will be an amazing year!
So in the days leading up to our Gift Day, please join us in worship and praise as we thank God for all we have seen so far. Let’s commit ourselves to service in God’s church and to the sacrificial giving that fuels kingdom growth.
On 30th September please consider bringing a special gift above your usual giving.
Please respond by pledging, perhaps for the first time to give regularly, week by week or month by month by standing order. If you already give in this way please review your giving. Are you giving what God would have you give?
30th September is also an opportunity to commit to God’s vision for the Barn. What better time to consider church membership or to volunteer to serve on one of our teams?
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen” [Ephesians 3 v 20 & 21]
We have already seen God do immeasurably more than we thought possible, but yet we sense that God has only just got started around here. So as we finish 2012 let’s do so with thankful hearts and as we anticipate 2013 let’s do so expecting God to take us even further into His grace for our church and for our community than we dare imagine. In all things, may Jesus have the glory and honour and may His kingdom come right here, just as it is in heaven. And may God richly bless us as we seek to serve Him together. There is so much more to look forward to. I can’t wait!
